Yes, donations to Fil-Am FEST Inc. are tax-deductible. We have applied for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, and once approved, our exemption will be retroactive to our date of incorporation. This means that any donations made after our incorporation date will be tax-deductible, even if they were given before the IRS granted official approval. According to the IRS, when an organization’s exemption application is approved, the exempt status is recognized back to the date the organization was created.
Please note that while our application is pending, contributors do not have advance assurance of deductibility. However, once our tax-exempt status is approved, all eligible donations will be considered tax-deductible as permitted by law.
